Measurements have been carried out on a sample of generic lights that are intended both for the indoor and outdoor use, to establish any likelihood of electromagnetic interference occurring. The results show some of the lights have higher emissions above the recommended limits, in which case risk-based EMC has been used to define mitigation measures for integration to achieve EMC.
Electromagnetic Interference Risk Assessment for the use of LED Lights on Board of Ships
The very high frequency band is a critical band that is used for safety and distress communication on board ships. Use of some commercial off the shelf equipment have been found to cause interference in this band. This paper describes the use of a risk-based approach to evaluate EMC risk due to commercial-offthe –shelf light emitting diodes in the wider band surrounding then very high frequencies, and define measures for the integration without causing disturbance.

Damen Naval contracts RH Marine for new Anti-Submarine Warfare Frigates
Damen Naval has signed a contract with RH Marine as the first Dutch supplier for the new Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) Frigates. RH Marine will supply the Integrated Mission Management System (IMMS), the Integrated Navigation Bridge System (INBS) and the Integrated Platform Management System (IPMS) for each of the four frigates for the Dutch and Belgian navies. The announcement of the cooperation follows the official contract signing on 29 June between the Dutch Ministry of Defence and Damen for the design, construction, and delivery of the new frigates.
RH Marine upgrades systems on the Royal Netherlands Navy ampihibious transport vessel Zr.Ms. Johan de Witt
RH Marine has started with a system upgrade and maintenance of the Zr.Ms. Johan de Witt, the amphibious transport ship of the Royal Netherlands Navy. All navigation, communication, and control systems on board will be renewed and all electrical components will be inspected.
